we wrote these first three songs when phil joined in fall 2010.
this is not a dream was on our demo in february 2009.
we recorded and mixed this tape in march 2012.

lyrics

1. six. lights reach across the sky, hurting my tired eyes. its getting hard to read your lips, but i think i heard you say how you love holidays, how everyone seems happier feeling like kids. trip out behind the park. these roads look different dark. i need something to make me laugh, because i cant feel anything except for the caffeine. or maybe i just need something new. if you only knew me. sometimes ill listen through the floor as you sing softly. your voice still soars.

2. aurora. you held your hand up to the sun and smiled. our voices shook, i laughed you looked to the ground. the night you moved it rained for hours. through growing waves, i tried to save your picture. now i sit high above my town to watch the sky turn orange. its not the same, but i am better now.

3. columbus, oh. i lied i was too young to remember you now. but im still awake. distant explosions growing closer and more distinct. quietly, i still need you here with me.

4. this is not a dream. your bloods not on our hands. this is not a dream, this is really happening.
